About Urinary Incontinence

Urinary incontinence is one of the most common conditions impacting the lifestyle of women. Most women share the common experience of birth and delivery of a baby. While babies bring great joy to our lives, they unfortunately can leave behind anatomic and pathologic disruption in the pelvic support structures of women.

An understanding of this impact and addressing these disruptions with combined non surgical approaches can result in successful treatment of urinary incontinence. Our providers are expert at surgery for incontinence when necessary but luckily for women the need for surgery in our office is constantly decreasing with our experience with non-surgical approaches.

There are a number of different treatments for urinary incontinence. We work with each woman to find out what is best for her individual situation. Don't give up or be embarrassed! Remember, many women have incontinence and all types of incontinence can be treated, no matter what your age.

Among the non-surgical solutions we offer are:

Pelvic muscle exercises

Electrical Stimulation

Biofeedback

Timed Voiding or Bladder Training

Weight Loss

Dietary Changes

Medicines
